Friedman Follow-Up

Looking at Friedman’s column yesterday (“Thomas L. Kissinger?“), I wrote this:

If we want an end to the Murder Bomber War which doesn’t involve mass deportations, then US or NATO ground troops must be used to guarantee the peace.

I hesitated before committing those words to pixels, because I knew what the response would be — universal condemnation. I was right; you guys tore me a new one.

What no one seemed to notice, however, was the condition. I actually said there are twos ways to get a lasting peace. One, a US or NATO presence; and Two, the forced evacuation of the Palestinians out of the West Bank.

After this post a couple weeks ago, I’m surprised nobody noticed.
