WATCH: Tucker Carlson's Montage of Liberal Harassment

Grabien screenshot of Tucker Carlson covering Ted Cruz getting harassed.

On Monday night, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was shouted out of a restaurant in Washington, D.C. by protesters shouting, “We believe survivors!” Tucker Carlson shared the video on Fox News, and he threw in footage of liberal harassment against Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen for good measure. Carlson concluded the clip with footage of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) egging on such protests.

“Now, according to some extremists, anyone who supports [Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett] Kavanaugh is fair game for harassment,” Carlson explained.

In the video, protesters shouted, “We believe survivors!” and “Sexist, racist, anti-gay!”

To this, Ted Cruz responded, “God bless you. Will you let my wife through?”

One protester shouted back, angrily and at the top of her lungs, “God bless you, too!”

Then the footage switched to June 19, when protesters shouted Nielsen out of another restaurant.

Then Carlson panned to the infamous footage of Waters egging on harassment.

“If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, at a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters declared.

This kind of incivility, accosting public figures in private places, has become all too common. Last week, protesters accosted Gov. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) at a Mexican restaurant.

This is the rotten fruit of Democrats turning politics into a religion, something both sides must consciously fight against. Civility is essential for liberty and life in a society where people will disagree with each other. Liberals must condemn this kind of harassment, along with conservatives.
