In the opening seconds of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s second Supreme Court nominee, Senate Democrats and the crowd erupted in protestations that Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) later dubbed “mob rule.” An ABC News video reveals that Women’s March leader Muslim Linda Sarsour was the very first protester carried out by police after Kavanaugh arrived.
“This is a mockery and a travesty of justice!” Sarsour declared, in the first crowd chant captured by video of the hearing.
She continued shouting as police dragged her out. “This is a travesty of justice. We will not go back!” Sarsour yelled. “Cancel Brett Kavanaugh! Adjourn the hearing!”

Sarsour, a leader of the “Women’s March” with ties to the terrorist group Hamas, has previously called for a “jihad” against President Donald Trump. While she later “clarified” that she did not intend violence in this call for holy war, Sarsour’s remarks suggested a full-throated struggle to stop “oppression in this country.”
At least she puts her body where her mouth is. Indeed, after getting dragged out of the hearing by police, Sarsour tweeted, “I will be able to tell my daughters and future grandchildren that I STOOD UP. I was not and will not be silent when our bodies and rights are on the line.”

There might be some irony in this activism, however. Sarsour, who has publicly defended Sharia (Islamic law), may have violated that law in this very protest.
Imam Mohammed Tawhidi, a reformist Muslim in Australia who once was a senior cleric in Iran, attacked the Women’s March leader … for violating Sharia law. “Linda Sarsour violating Sharia Law once again by ‘purposely and intentionally’ putting herself in a situation ‘knowing’ that she will ‘definitely’ be touched by men other than her husband. (Police),” Tawhiti tweeted, with another video of Sarsour’s arrest.
“No virgin boys for her in heaven,” he quipped. While Tawhidi is a Shia cleric and Sarsour is Sunni, the restrictive laws women face in Islam cross this key religious barrier.

The Women’s March Muslim may have been one of the first arrested at Kavanaugh’s hearing, but she was far from the last. Protests continued to erupt throughout the hearing.
As the Daily Caller’s Kevin Daley and Peter Hasson reported, Tuesday did not mark the first time the Women’s March leader was arrested at a protest. She was arrested this past March in a protest at House Speaker Paul Ryan’s office, and she was also arrested in March 2017 for disorderly conduct outside Trump Tower in New York City.
