Last week, a volcanic eruption began on Hawaii’s Big Island. Magma levels at the Pu’u O’o crater plummeted, and magma started spewing forth in other areas across the island.
The lava has destroyed at least 35 structures and covered the equivalent of more than 75 football fields, NPR reported. Worse, there is no end in sight.
