Bah Humbug: Liberals Sing Impeachment-Themed Christmas Carols at the White House

On Tuesday night, as the U.S. Senate voted to pass tax reform, disgruntled liberal protesters gathered in front of the White House to sing impeachment-themed Christmas carols.

“Donnie the fat man was a jolly twisted soul, with sh*t for brains an a Pinocchio nose, and two eyes made out of coal,” millennial social justice warriors (SJWs) sang in a rendition of “Frosty the Snowman,” while holding posters reading “RESIGN.”

The song continued, “Donnie the fat man was a narcissist they say, he was made of lies but the children know how he ruined our lives one day. There must have been some magic in that old golf club they found, for when they mashed it on his head, he began to dance around. ”

Their “carol” concluded with the refrain, “Trumpety, Trump Trump, Trumpety, Trump Trump, look at Donnie go.”

The sorry spectacle contrasted petty protests with vigorous legislative work. As liberals chanted silly songs at the White House, senators were working overtime to pass a tax cut for the American people. While more than 3,000 people on Facebook said they were “interested” in the event, only 183 said they attended. The crowd in the video looked even smaller than that.

The protesters dressed up as handmaids from the Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale,” which is based on a 1985 book by Margaret Atwood of the same name. The show and book tell the story of a dystopian society in which women are forcibly raped to bear the children of powerful men. The ideology behind this oppression is boosted by Bible verses twisted out of context.

Various anti-Trump and pro-abortion protesters have dressed up as handmaids to protest pro-life legislation limiting abortion. Some even compared the Republican health care bill to “The Handmaid’s Tale” — because the bill would have cut funding to Planned Parenthood.

In addition to engaging in this ridiculous and radical pro-abortion statement, the protesters also held up a sign with the words “fetus, diversity, vulnerable, entitlement, transgender, science-based, and evidence-based.”

This poster was a shoddy reference to the seven words The Washington Post reported had been banned at the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The New York Times later revealed that the list was not an order to “ban” these words at the CDC, but rather an inside suggestion of words to avoid when asking conservatives in government for funding.

Yet these protesters trumpeted this fake news with no concern for the actual facts.

This petty display of fake news, absurd costumes, and insulting Christmas songs will do nothing to help the Democrats’ cause. Rather, it will spark laughter among conservatives, and provide more evidence that the Left has not learned the lesson of 2016.
