Anti-Trump Protests Break Out in at Least 8 American Cities

Election Protests Washington

Anti-Trump demonstrations are taking place in several cities across the U.S. to protest the election of Donald Trump, who was elected to be the 45th president of the United States. Like spoiled children, progressives are throwing massive temper tantrums because they didn’t get their way in the 2016 election.

Angry left-wing mobs have materialized in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Winston-Salem, Boston, Portland, and Seattle, among other cities, to let their displeasure be known. Progressives also started a Twitter hashtag earlier in the day to register their disgust with President-elect Trump: #NotMyPresident. Some of the protests started with high school and college student walk-outs:

Students at several Bay Area high schools got up from their seats in the middle of class and filed out. A throng of more than 1,000 young protesters gathered on the steps of Los Angeles’ City Hall, burning a giant Trump head in effigy and blocking traffic along Spring and 1st streets.

“I expected better of my electorate,” Vishal Singh, 23, said in downtown L.A. late Wednesday. He said he was reeling in shock over the support for a man he saw as opposed to immigrants and LGBT rights. “I thought this country was different.”

According to reports, most of the rallies were somewhat “peaceful” with the usual chanting of profanities. In Portland, protesters blocked a highway, and in Seattle shots were fired, sending five people to the hospital. Police say, however, that the shooting incident was unrelated to the protest. Rioters in Oakland smashed windows at five businesses and burned trash containers and tires, police said.

In New York, GOP strategist Arthur Schwartz says he and his dog were attacked by the protesters:

It is not yet known if the protests are organic, or if they were organized by community organizers like Robert Creamer and funded by George Soros, as so many other left-wing protests have been over the years. Some of the protesters in New York City appeared to be from Peoples Power Assemblies, a group that organizes “to empower workers & oppressed people to demand jobs, education & healthcare while fighting against racism, sexism & LGBT bigotry.” Their Baltimore chapter was involved in the violent Freddie Gray protests of 2015.

Robert Creamer, you’ll remember, was recently caught on tape scheming with other Democrat operatives to send violent protesters to Trump rallies. In one Project Veritas undercover video, the frequent White House visitor talked about how his group, Democracy Partnerscolluded with the Clinton campaign to “bird-dog” Trump supporters at Trump rallies.

“Wherever Trump and Pence are, we are going to have events, and we have a whole team across the country that does that,” Creamer said on tape.
