According to media reports, the 20-year-old Turkish immigrant accused of gunning down five people at the Macy’s makeup counter in Washington state is a “troubled young man”—a “socially awkward” loner who was so “creepy, rude and obnoxious” in public that his female neighbor kept a Taser by her front door.
Arcan Cetin’s already high creep level jumped by a factor of ten when it was discovered that he had a blog with links to photo posts of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Police arrested Cetin on Saturday evening after a nearly day-long manhunt. He was described as being “zombie-like” when he was taken into custody.
Cetin told detectives he was responsible for the mall murders, according to court documents released Monday.
A 20-year-old legal U.S. resident, Cetin appeared to have two blogs on Tumblr that linked to each other, and one of which linked to his Twitter account, according to The Associated Press. Aside from the posts featuring noted Islamists, Cetin’s blogs also featured posts about serial killer Ted Bundy and the Area 51 test site.
Cetin’s alleged rampage lasted about one minute, authorities said. Officials believe he used a rifle that was recovered at the scene before fleeing the mall in a car.

A Tumblr page in his name contains references to the phrase “Subhan Allah,” which means Glory be to God, as well as comments about serial killers. It links to a page that praises the ISIS leader. Police have not yet determined the shooter’s motive in the mall attack, according to The Seattle Times, and Cetin has a troubled past that includes domestic violence allegations. By one account, he called out a woman’s name while allegedly firing.
Under the photo referencing Allah there is the comment, “meowfraulein I’m cute plez say yez jk.”
Meowfraulein is another Tumblr page. It bears this photo, as well as one of a Supreme Leader of Iran and a Julian Assange book cover with the words “Mein Kampf” added:

The above photo is of the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The comment under it says, “My main dude, Abu bakr al big daddy. #al qaeda.”
The comment under the post links back to the first Tumblr page bearing Cetin’s photo and his name. In addition, the profile picture on the meowfraulein Tumblr page appears in the set of photos on the Arcan Cetin Tumblr page – in the same set as the photo that also appears on the Twitter page that the Times has identified as the alleged gunman’s.
According to Fox News, Cetin was not allowed to be in possession of a gun, per court order.
Court records show Cetin had previously faced three charges of assaulting his stepfather, The Seattle Times reported. Cetin also was arrested on drunken driving charges. No details were given on when the arrests took place or how the cases may have been resolved.
In the assault case, Cetin was told by a judge last December that he was not to possess a gun, The Times reported.
Authorities have not ruled out terrorism as a motive in the shooting, Fox reports.
