At least three people are dead at the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan, following a shooting Monday afternoon, the Detroit Free Press reported. The situation was under control by 3 p.m., Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey told CBS affiliate WSBT.
An employee at the county prosecutor’s office who wished to remain anonymous confirmed Twitter reports that three people are dead and one is injured, according to the Free Press. Michigan State Police confirmed the shooting around 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
Two of the deceased are court bailiffs, and the other casualty is the shooter, whose identity has not yet been confirmed.
WSBT reported that one officer was shot in the left arm and finger, while there are two civilian victims, whose conditions are unknown. All three were transported to the hospital.
WZZM-TV reporter David Bailey reported that there are three people dead and two court employees were shot.

Reportedly, a county commissioner said the suspect grabbed a deputy’s gun and killed him with it.

Grand Rapids news anchor Kate Tillotson reported that four people were shot, one of whom was a police officer.
