It’s too bad Germany doesn’t have a tradition of tar and feathering scalawags and politicians. One ripe subject would be Chancellor Angela Merkel who has let nearly a million Islamic refugees into the country, despite knowing that there are currently about 7,900 potential terrorists who support violence to achieve their ends.
A German police spokesman made known that number in an interview with the Austrian press:
A senior German police official says some of the migrants reaching Europe are Islamic State radicals planning terrorist attacks, but the refugee influx is not systemically used by extremists to bring members into the EU.
The Austria Press Agency cited German federal police chief Hans-Georg Maasen as saying that some who blend in with the migrants fought with IS and are planning a “combat mission” once they arrive in Europe. He said Thursday that his office knows of 7,900 Islamic radicals in Germany who advocate violence to advance their goals, with some trying to win migrants to their cause.
He said German authorities receive one or two “fairly concrete tips” a week of planned terrorist activity. And he described IS extremists as “combat-hardened professionals” more dangerous than those from al-Qaida.
“Not systematically used” is exactly the point. It would be too easy to pluck them out if ISIS flooded the zone with terrorists. It’s far more difficult to find them if they’re eased into the country at a rate of one or two in 5,000. Harried bureaucrats trying to do the paperwork on this mass of humanity are far more likely to overlook a dangerous terrorist if they are few and far between.
Face it: The terrorists are smarter than Angela Merkel, Barack Obama, and all the political elites in Europe and America. They know their enemy, unlike our leaders who still haven’t a clue what ISIS is all about. They live in their little dream world, playing with their false assumptions and ridiculous fairy-tale analyses that give them comfort about how well they can protect us.
Unfortunately, it is likely that many innocent people are going to pay for their fantastical and naive worldview with their lives.
