Radical Leftist Calls for Violence, Theft

While the media spent eight years of the Obama administration focused on how violent the right is, conservative and libertarian protests were, in reality, about as peaceful and respectful as a protest can be. The Tea Party movement didn’t cause a single arrest, cleaned up after each event, and otherwise comported themselves like adults.

The Left, on the other hand, has shown over and over again that behaving badly, and even criminally, is an expected element of its protests. Yet even after all the chaos at Leftist protests/riots we’ve seen lately, it’s still not enough for one self-described radical named Didi Delgado.

Delgado published an article outlining some things that people could do for “truly radical resistance.”

She posted the article at Medium, which frowns on people advocating illegal acts on its website. They made her edit it to remove these references. However, she offered only token, sarcastic edits, clearly leaving the intention that she is still advocating criminality.

For example, her first suggestion now reads: “‘DON’T’ STEAL STUFF.” Why the quotes around “don’t”? Because that wasn’t in the original, and she wants the reader to get her original intent. The body is remarkably unchanged:

Before this gets taken out of context, I want to clarify that by “steal stuff” I mean “take things that don’t belong to you without paying for them.” Especially from rich people, corporations, or government institutions. We’re not going to subvert Capitalism by stealing from marginalized folks, and it doesn’t make sense to rob people who don’t have much to begin with. History has proven that nothing disrupts the State like the forceful redistribution of wealth and property. So make sure this is on your to-do list for 2018!

As extra credit for white people, use your privilege to “not” loot and plunder anything you can get your milky hands on, and then redistribute it as reparations to the Black community.

Simply remove the “not” in the last paragraph — again, in quotes that make no sense in context — and you get the original intention.

Delgado doesn’t just want people to steal. She wants white people to take their worldly possessions and give them to black people. She doesn’t specify to do this for disadvantaged people, or anyone who needs a hand. Nope. Just anyone black.

Then, she plays her little quotation mark trick to say “don’t” riot:

We don’t need more petitions; we don’t need more folks calling our representatives. There’s a place for that in the Revolution, but that’s not what’s going to save us. “The whole damn system is guilty as hell,” remember? We need people who are willing to disrupt the system to bring about justice. And we need to do that by ANY means necessary, not just with the tools they permit us to have. Let go of the notion that there are “bad” ways to resist oppression.

We can’t reform this system because the system is working exactly as it was designed. If we truly want to bring about change, we have to look beyond reform and be willing to “not” burn it all down.

Medium was right to demand a change. They’re wrong to allow this to qualify as following the guidelines, as it is still clearly a call for violence and theft.

Frankly, I’d advise law enforcement to keep a close eye on Ms. Delgado.
