Will Riverside County secede from California?

A 13-county secession summit is on the agenda:

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution today calling for a summit of 13 counties in southern California to discuss forming a 51st state. The vote was 4-0, with one supervisor absent.

The idea of splitting off from northern California was proposed by Supervisor Jeff Stone recently and has gained international attention. In a report on the resolution, Stone stated that California is to big to be governed effectively and the the priorities of the northern and southern sections are different.
