Adrian Salinas, 22, was arrested in Texas on drug charges, but authorities were able to link him to the murders once he was in custody.

Jose Luis Salinas Torres, 23, and Lazaro Alejandro Martinez Esparza, 26, had both been shot in the head before being loaded into the trunk of a car:

Once in custody, Salinas admitted to investigators his role in the murder. Salinas also had scar tissue on his body from healed injuries that are consistent with him helping set a car on fire.

Salinas has been charged with capital murder and his bond has been set at $2 million. A second suspect has been arrested, and will be charged later in the week.

Both suspects admit to being part of a violent gang, the Tri-City Bombers, which have been linked to several other high-profile murders and massacres. It is being reported that the motive for the murders was drugs.

The argument over securing the border has been raging for years. With millions of illegal aliens, many of them hardened criminals, still crossing the border and later committing crimes, pleas from the American people for security seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
