What Election Fraud? 44,000 Are Registered to Vote in Both Maryland and Virginia

A watchdog group says it has turned up evidence of voter registrations that could lead to serious election fraud in Maryland and Virginia.

A crosscheck of voter rolls in Virginia and Maryland turned up 44,000 people registered in both states, a vote-integrity group reported Wednesday.

And that’s just the beginning.

“The Virginia Voters Alliance is investigating how to identify voters who are registered and vote in Virginia butlive in the states that surround us,” Alliance President Reagan George told the State Board of Elections.

The number of duplicate votes actually cast is small, at 164, but the possibility of major fraud remains as long as both states fail to crosscheck their voter rolls.

The Interstate Crosscheck recently found a similar scale of duplicate registrations in North Carolina, though in that case far more of the voters registered in multiple states actually cast votes.
