MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is so childish it’s hard to take anything he says or does seriously anymore. President Obama has come under criticism for going on Funny or Die’s Between Two Ferns to shill for Obamacare. The criticism tends to come along the lines of noting that Obama is demeaning the presidency, and that he is looking less like a leader and more like a cheap pitch-man than he ought to, given the serious things going on around the world. Between the Muppet visits, the Lance Bass consultation on healthcare and all the parties and golf, it’s also looking like Obama sought the presidency just to build a career in entertainment.
Chris Matthews’ answer to that criticism amounts to “I know you are but what am I?”
NewsBusters: Appearing as a guest on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on March 13, the “Hardball” host reacted to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly saying that Abraham Lincoln would not have gone on “Between Two Ferns” by claiming that” My View is that Abraham Lincoln would not have worked for Fox.”
Well, one thing is certain. Lincoln had no post-presidential career — because a deranged Democrat murdered him.
