McDonald’s released this video to dispel rumors that they add “pink goop” to their tasty McNuggets.
The video shows McNuggets starting from whole chickens. They get deboned and breast meat is ground up with some chicken skin to make the nuggets. They blend the meat with seasonings, portion the nuggets into the four shapes, then they’re battered twice, partly fried, packaged and shipped off to McDonald’s restaurants for final cooking before you eat them.
According to the video, they use tempura to flavor McNuggets. Who knew?
