Democrat Jeanne Shaheen: If You Like Your Doctor and You're Willing to Pay More, You Can Keep Your Doctor

President Obama and other Democrats made a series of promises regarding Obamacare, including “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” But reality is saying otherwise, and many Americans are finding that Obamacare is costing them their doctors in one way or another. The most common way new Obamacare plans that replace plans have smaller networks. The doctor you and your family have been seeing are now out of network.

Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (NH) gave an interview on WKXL radio on Friday. She offered a solution to the doc drop problem, but it’s one that most people won’t like.

“At least for people who are willing to pay more, that they have that option of going to their doctor and hospital no matter what their insurer does,” Shaheen stated during a radio interview on WKXL on Friday.

Obama not only promised that you could keep your doctor if you liked them, he promised that most families would see their health insurance premiums go down. A lot. Now Democrats are being forced to acknowledge that many Americans will have to pay more just to get back to where they were before Obamacare.

Shaheen refused to answer whether she would vote for Obamacare again, knowing what she now knows about the law. That begs the question, and presents an obvious answer: Did she do her job and read the bill before voting to pass it?
