Take a look.

Dewhurst is running in the GOP primary for re-election to the Texas lieutenant governorship. In a press release accompanying the new ad, Dewhurst’s campaign cites how he has fought against Obamacare in Texas.

  • This Year Dewhurst Rebuffed Attempts By The Federal Government To Expand Medicaid Through The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). “State Senate leaders say they want to improve the quality of Medicaid in Texas, but that doesn’t mean expanding it to cover more people. The Affordable Care Act would broaden the pool of people who qualify for Medicaid in 2014 in states that choose to do that. But Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst says an expansion in Texas is off the table.” (Laura Rice, “No Medicaid Expansion In Texas, Dewhurst Says,” KUT, 1/16/13)

  • Texas Did Not Set Up Its Own Health Care Exchange. “Texas Gov. Rick Perry officially notified the federal government on Thursday that the state will not set up an exchange to help people buy health insurance. Perry sent the letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius a day before the deadline to let Washington know that the state will not set up its own exchange.” (“Gov. Rick Perry Officially Refuses To Set Up Texas Health Insurance Exchange Under Obamacare,” The Associated Press, 11/15/12)
