FLASHBACK: Obama Says Nuclear Option will Increase 'Fighting and Bitterness'

On April 13, 2005, then Senator, now President Barack Obama rose to speak against the use of the nuclear option in the US Senate. He warned that deploying it, as the Democrats are threatening today, would make our politics more divisive and bitter.
