As Mitt Romney prepares to speak to the Republican National Convention with a focus on the stagnant unemployment rate and the economy, the Labor Department will hold an online jobs chat.
Billed as marking Labor Day (but half a week before Labor Day), the live Twitter chat at 2 p.m. Thursday will feature Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.
The Labor Department is billing her as “America’s Job Counselor,” here to answer questions on your employment concerns.
“This is a great opportunity, especially for high school and college students, to ask questions and receive information on entering the workforce, finding job training programs and identifying up-and-coming careers,” the announcement said.
People can participate by using the hashtag #LaborDay2012 or by tweeting questions in advance to @HildaSolisDOL.
