I am on the plane from LAX to Dulles for the annual AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) conference in DC. The Virgin America flight is a literal AIPAC bus and I learned from one of my fellow passengers that there is, naturally, an app for the event. (There’s a PJ Media app now too. Just download it. Sorry, it’s only for iPhone and iPad as yet. Android coming.)
I was originally going to come in late for the event, but changed my reservation when it was announced that Obama would be speaking on Sunday morning. It will be the first time I will be seeing the Maestro d’Hope live and I hope it will be the last (speaking of hope). According to the WSJ, this speech will be an attempt at fence-mending with the Israeli government and specifically with Benjamin Netanyahu, whom Obama has often dissed, most recently in an overhead discussion with Sarkozy.
Anne Bayefsky saw this differently from the WSJ yesterday on PJM.
It will be interesting to see if the AIPAC audience reacts. Meanwhile, I’ll download the app. Is there one for Obama propaganda? Probably many.
