Obama to GOP: Game On!

It’s official — Obama says he’ll veto the GOP House “cut, cap & balance” plan. But the House budget (and balanced budget amendment) has the about same chance of passing the Senate that a kitten has of passing a bowling ball.

So I’m not sure what Obama’s threat is suppose to achieve in practical terms. This is pure political theater, designed to shore up the base and spook the markets — both useful clubs for bashing his negotiating partners on the Hill.
