Responding to today’s dismal jobs numbers, President Obama said that the 9.2% unemployment rate confirms that we still have “a long way to go.” He actually does not have long before running into a self-imposed deadline to get the economy back on track. From February 2009, before the shine had worn off of Hope and Change.

“I will be held accountable. I’ve got four years. A year from now, people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there. If I don’t have this done in three years, then this is going to be a one-term proposition.”

Three years from that quote lands us in primary season, when the GOP may well have a nominee to take him on. And produce ads matching the above quote with the two in this post and run them all on an endless loop.
