Allentown, PA’s problems predate the Obama administration by decades, of course. Billy Joel really put them on the national map way back in 1982 with his hit, “Allentown.” But the Obama economy and regulatory state has hit Allentown and everywhere else like a ton of socialist experiments.

Mitt Romney is doing a great job so far of hammering Obama on the issue where he is weakest, and on which the election is most likely to turn.
