Breaking: Trump fires himself from GOP presidential run

The Donald will remain a real estate mogul and game show host.

Donald Trump announced Monday that he will not run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

Despite months of speculation and a brief pop in the polls, Trump said in a statement that he was “not ready to leave the private sector.”

Polls had Trump freefalling ever since the Obama birth certificate brouhaha. But taking into account the fact that Trump has flirted with running for president repeatedly over the years, the 2011 edition just looks like yet another publicity stunt.
