Oh geeze. Arizona is moving a bill requiring candidates for President to produce a birth certificate to establish their Constitutional eligibility to appear as a candidate in Arizona. Let’s hope this thing resolves one way or another if this becomes law. The last thing the nation needs is a Constitutional crisis sparked by a state law requiring the production of a birth certificate. Yes, yes, yes, I know, some of you can hardly reach the comment window fast enough and hit the birth certificate macros some probably have. My point is not about the birth certificate, but rather the high stakes mess the Arizona bill is setting up. There are some parts of the Constitution which we try to avoid conducting a death match over. Surely there is a quick way out of this one? Ok, now you can go to the comment window. Have at it.
