Bachmann tears down the Iowa house

PJTV has been covering the Conservative Principles conference in Des Moines, IA, presented by Rep. Steve King.

Multiple presidential contenders are in attendance, including former Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Ambassador John Bolton, Herman Cain, Gov. Haley Barbour and Rep. Michele Bachmann. Other speakers include Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, Rep. King and yours truly as part of a panel on media.

While not all the speakers have addressed the crowd as of this posting, Rep. Bachmann left the stage to a standing ovation. Her speech was focused on the people of Iowa, and on comparing their standard of living with the economy, and the state of the Nation, more than two years into the Obama Administration.

Within the 20+ minute speech, she was interrupted by the crowd’s laughter, and applause. Bachmann appeared energized, upbeat and focused. It looks like, based on the speech and the reaction, Rep. Bachmann’s run for the White House has begun for real.
