No they don’t. Never did. But that didn’t stop Crooks & Liars and, along with them other lefty blogs, from failing to do a whit of research that would have prevented them all from spreading a lie. But I do enjoy it when a lefty lie gets examined, shaken out and pulled apart for the stupid, ridiculous lie that it is, and Lee Stranahan just eviscerates this particular one.

Up until quite recently, I would have left it at that because Crooks and Liars was one of my go-to sites for information.
Now I think they might want to shorten their name to the more concise and appropriate Liars.
Just to give you some idea of the difference between blogs, today I spent a good fifteen minutes doing research to justify a line in an earlier post in which I corrected a Guardian story for saying “Stryker tank unit.” I knew a Stryker wasn’t a tank, that much was obvious. I poked around to make sure that no one could come back and say something about it being a “Stryker tank unit” because someone authoritative legitimately called a Stryker a tank, or because the unit in question had both Strykers and tanks. We don’t always get things right, but we do try to do our homework around here.
On other side, as Stranahan shows in his post, there’s often just an effort to make our side do all the homework. Blogs like ____ Liars just seem to throw stuff out there to see what’ll stick.
