UN votes to expel - oops - suspend Libya from the Human Rights Council

For those looking for tough U.N. sanctions due to the atrocities waged by the Libyan government, the General Assembly just unanimously voted to suspend Libya from the Human Rights Council.

That’s right.  Suspend.  It did not expel them.  They are suspended, pending the ending of the violence.

When all is quiet, they most surely will be allowed back to the body.
