Obama WH is testing state run media propaganda machine

Is the Obama White House testing out state-run media to circumvent independent media?  Yes, says ABC’s Devin Dwyer who today reports that in preparation for the 2012 Presidential race, the White House has launched a number of  TV news and magazine programs, augmented by Twitter, Flickr and Facebook.

All of this soft propaganda, of course, is being footed by taxpayers, which could become a campaign issue.  After all, why should American citizens pay for a White House propaganda machine that will be an extension of his re-election campaign?
