Frances Fox Piven says the Tea Parties are really sex parties or something equally bizarre

A not-spring-chicken comes home to roost.  Prominent progressive sociologist, strategist and Project Vote board member Frances Fox Piven attempts to explain the rise of the Tea Parties, and fails miserably.

Piven:These are the people in American society who are distressed at the way that the country that they grew up in is changing…After all there is an African American in the White House, that is sort of beyond their cultural experience.  The American population is darkening… And you know I don’t have any data on this, but I am absolutely sure that sex is very important in what is happening, ah, to older people.

You know, I don’t have any data on this (other than her crackpot ideas and her rambling speech), but I am absolutely sure that Frances Fox Piven is silly loon and a has-been.  I’m dead sure that she’s just told the world a whole lot more about herself than she intended.

Meanwhile outside Piven’s socialist mindthoughts, Tea Partiers sent Allen West to the House, they sent Tim Scott to the House, they sent Kristi Noem to the House, they tried to send Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell to the Senate, and all evidence indicates that Tea Partiers don’t give a rip about race or gender.  It’s the lefties who just can’t let those hangups go.
