Trump Deftly Handles Acosta's Hack Questions About Coziness with Dictators

Bless Jim Acosta’s ignorant little fake news heart — he keeps trying. CNN’s chief Trump Derangement Syndrome correspondent keeps attempting to blindside the president with questions that are more important to his network’s ongoing brand of lunacy than anything that might even tiptoe in the direction of real journalism.

During a press conference at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, Acosta went at President Trump for the way he gets along with certain leaders of other countries.

“You did seem to be joking there with the Russian president. Are we taking that to be wrong?” Acosta asked. “And what is it with your coziness with some of these dictators and autocrats at these summits? With Mohammad bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, when you were asked about the case of Jamal Khashoggi, you did not respond to that question––were you afraid of offending him on that subject?”

After two and a half years of nonstop complaining about President Trump’s lack of decorum, a member of the media entity that’s complained the most has the gall to ask if the president is afraid of offending someone.

Trump handled it perfectly:

“No, not at all. I don’t really care about offending people,” Trump said. “I sort of thought you’d know that.”

The way President Trump deals with Putin, et al. is perhaps the most “no-win” of all of the no-win situations he faces with the eternally hostile mainstream media.

If he exhibits any kind of firmness, the MSM become overwrought and claim that war is imminent.

If he acts, you know, presidential and doesn’t cause a scene when meeting with one then it’s unsavory.

Of course, if he elected to not engage any of them he would be derided for his lack of diplomacy.

The MSM covering Trump — and Acosta is by far the worst of these — have the stories they want to write about the president written in their heads long before questioning him. The questions are merely scripted writing prompts for news reports that are now pretty much just feelings journals.

Get that report back in your Trapper Keeper, Jimmy.
