Because that’s what this is really about, isn’t it?
Less than 48 hours after the Supreme Court struck down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, six of the nine states that had been covered in their entirety under the law’s “preclearance” formula have already taken steps toward restricting voting.
The states aren’t doing anything of the kind, they’re merely trying to reinstate Voter I.D. laws that Section 4 was used to strike down. Requiring I.D. to vote is no more a restriction than requiring registration.
In a world where one can’t get over the counter sinus medicine without photo identification, progressives would have you believe that there are great swaths of the American electorate who simply cannot obtain such a thing under any circumstances.
And they are lying.
Look at the things progressives champion when it comes to voting: no identification, same-day registration and early voting. All make voter fraud easier to perpetrate. They claim that it’s all about freeing up access to the voting process, which is actually. They just want to free it up for people who shouldn’t be voting.
And that is the only source of this tantrum.
