As the author of a detective series, I know full well how treacherous it is to go back to the well too many times, especially after a long hiatus. I haven’t seen the new Indiana Jones film yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised that the early Internet auguries are true and the movie is not very good. We all come from a particular zeitgeist. Incidentally, the Internet-based game change on opening a movie is fascinating. Exhibitors often see films first, even more so when the studio want to keep them under wraps. That used to work. Now those exhibitors have blogs and website. Over and out.
