It’s not surprising that Jimmy Carter is meeting with Hamas. They both share an extreme religious view of the world, high on sanctimony, low on reality. Of course missing among the questions Jimmy will supposedly be asking Hamas-leader Meshal is “Why don’t you recognize Israel as a state?” The answer would be interesting because Hamas, being Islamic true believers, never could without renouncing their religion.
