What is it that Joan Didion wrote way back in Slouching Toward Bethlehem about a writer selling you out in the end every time? Well, Neely Tucker, a WaPo “Style” writer and author, took Ayaan Hirsi Ali to lunch and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a purer (and cheesier) example of what Didion meant than his profile of Ali – “True Unbeliever” . He accuses Hirsi Ali of various lies (without citing evidence or offering context) and relies on such “impartial” observers as Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR and Lorraine Ali. What a joke.

Good job, Neely. Sell some books and make your rep off someone whose had her genitals mutilated. What a guy!
