But what about Hurricane "Moishe"?

You’d think with all the hurricanes that have hit Miami Beach over the years, there’d be at least one with a Jewish name!… LaShawn Barber reminds us that a short time ago Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee bemoaned the absence of “black” names for hurricanes (“self respect,” doncha know?). LaShawn wonders if Jackson Lee might be reconsidering in the wake of Katrina. I tend to doubt it given the extraordinary levels of partisan profiteering on this natural disaster. This one, of course, is something of a new low. I have a suspicion that one result of this catastrophe is that people may become even sicker than they already are of politicians, not to mention of our friends in the mainstream media. I guess that’s yet another form of collateral damage.
