Every candidate for president has a make-or-break moment where a single sentence spells the difference between being a winner or loser. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar’s came during the debate last night.
In her case, it’s not what she said that has the fat lady warming up in the wings. It was the visible and worrying shaking the candidate exhibited during the early part of the debate.

Social media vultures were circling the carcass.
Is Amy Klobuchar okay? She’s shaking like a wet chihuahua. #DemDebate #DemocraticDebate

I’m a little worried that Amy Klobuchar is having a minor seizure? Or maybe she’s just freezing? She’s shaking… #DemDebate

Either my HD is really strong, or Klobuchar looks like she's shaking as she's giving this response

Jonah Goldberg apparently didn’t see what everyone else was seeing.
“Folks, pretty sure Amy Klobuchar isn’t shaking, it’s just her hair,” Goldberg tweeted. “On the other hand, the staffer who let her go out with shaking hair may not return home.”
There was a little snark, but most expressed concern for Klobuchar’s health.
“klobuchar has been very visible shaking all night is she f–in okay,” tweeted @LukisYT.
“Why is Amy so shaky? Is she just really nervous?” asked @davejay.
Added another Twitter user: “Klobuchar is literally shaking. I’m worried about her health.”
One user said the lawmaker was “like a human vibrator.”
Some attributed the trembling to Klobuchar’s hairdo.
“I like Amy Klobuchar, but why does her hair shiver when she is talking? Is she nervous? Its visually distracting,” tweeted @ethansemmel.
Another person quipped: “Klobuchar’s hair helmet is shaking like there’s an earthquake, and we need to get to the bottom of this.”
Democrats have been trying to blow up Trump’s visit to Walter Reed as being tantamount to the president being at death’s door. After all, if you can question Hillary’s health during the 2016 campaign, why not Trump?
Trump wasn’t falling down or going into 5-minute coughing fits or acting befuddled. Well, no more befuddled than usual.
I’m sure Klobuchar is fine. But it’s very interesting that any sign of weakness whatsoever, either physical or mental, can become a political issue despite the fact that ordinary, normal people act in these ways all the time.
Maybe Superman should run for president.
