NPR Exec. Discovers Gun Control Doesn't Work

It takes a lot for a liberal to admit he was wrong (and even more for a liberal member of the mainstream media to admit he was wrong). But the former CEO of NPR, Ken Stern, said he made some key discoveries about firearms as he went on a fact-finding mission all across America.

Stern said, “It starts with the notion, which I wouldn’t have thought of before, which is gun homicides, deaths by guns in this country, has gone down by more than half in the last 25 years, most extraordinary trend in modern American criminal history. At the same time, the number of guns have gone up. Those two things are correlated.” He continued, “It’s clear that we know how to drive down gun murders without gun control.”

Could it be that the tool is not to blame for criminals’ thought processes…? If more liberals actually looked at the facts on guns, like Ken Stern did, it might upend their firearm worldview. But in the meantime, we’ll have to stick with our current crop of biased reactionaries.
