'Law Enforcement Staged on Every Single Corner,' No Car Traffic at Univ. Of Florida Ahead of Spencer Speech

The infamous white supremacist Richard Spencer is scheduled to speak at the University of Florida today; a state of emergency has been declared.

Trying to prevent a repeat of what happened in Charlottesville, the Gainesville, FL school has reportedly spent 500 thousand dollars to secure the campus and protect students. It is likely that neo-Nazi groups, as well as Antifa, will show up for the event. But, according to this Tampa ABC affiliate, they have completely blocked car traffic going in or out of the venue, and they have stationed police “on every single corner” near there. Hopefully everything will be civil, and both the safety of the campus and the first amendment rights of these hate groups will be preserved.
