Byron York, a Fox News contributor, said that President Trump’s address on Afghanistan last night was “the most presidential performance of his time in the White House because it had all the elements. It was a prime-time address on issues of war and peace. He was acting as commander-in-chief, it had a military audience, it had all the elements and President Trump delivered a very solid speech.” But Trump does have a habit of saying one thing on teleprompter and another off-the-cuff. York said, “The worry of his staff and his supporters is that he’ll go rogue in Phoenix tonight, maybe decide to relitigate Charlottesville or who knows what, and step on all of the progress he made last night.”
