CNN Analyst: 'It's Absurd to Say This Could Be Treason'

Hillary Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), said that Don Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer might constitute “treason.” Even CNN’s legal analyst, Paul Callan, admitted, “I think we have to hesitate before we jump to the conclusion that this is criminal as opposed to political stupidity. Because there’s nothing in American law that I’m aware of that would prohibit a candidate from accepting damaging information, even from an enemy foreign government, to use against a political opponent.” When even CNN admits that pundits are out of line for claiming “treason,” you know it’s seriously asinine to believe that Don Jr. committed a criminal act.
