Sen. Cotton: It's a 'Myth' That Trump Is Weaker on Russia Than Obama Was

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) chided his senatorial committee today for propagating the “myth” that President Obama was somehow better on Russian policy than President Trump has been. He pointed out that, under Obama, the U.S. initiated a false “reset button,” rolled back missile defense systems, and allowed the Russians to take over Syria. President Obama also mocked Mitt Romney for saying Russia was one of our worst international foes, and he was caught, in a hot mic moment, saying he would be able to work with the Russian president more after the election. So the idea that Trump has been weak on Russia by comparison, Cotton says, is untrue.
