Dem Rep. Says Trump Came Into Office 'Covering Up'

WASHINGTON — Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-Mich.) said she agrees with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that President Donald Trump is engaged in a “cover-up.”

Following a meeting with her caucus last week, Pelosi said, “We believe that no one is above the law, including the president of the United States. And we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.”

Lawrence, a member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, shared her reaction to Pelosi’s statement.
