Antifa activists who were arrested on Saturday at Boston’s Straight Pride Parade received a helping hand from The Squad members Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley. The two congresswomen urged their Twitter followers to contribute to the bail fund for the leftist counter-protesters who took on law enforcement at the (admittedly ridiculous) parade.
When all was said and done, the Washington Times reports that Boston police arrested 36 people. Nine individuals were charged with assault and battery on a police officer. In total, “four officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries as they attempted to prevent the Antifa-fueled crowd of about 1,000 counter-protesters from mixing it up with an estimated 200 parade participants.”
Yes, you read that correctly: 1,000 Antifa hooligans took it upon themselves to attack a mere 200 Straight Pride weirdos. And when police officers got in the way, well, they just opened the attack on them.
But wait, there’s more:
Others arrested were charged with crimes including resisting arrest; disorderly conduct; assault; carrying a dangerous weapon, and assault by means of a dangerous weapon, according to a police log posted by the Boston Herald.
In other words, these “counter-protesters” were nothing more or less than Antifa hooligans. They are dangerous and violent.
Sadly, however, these clearly violent, aggressive and downright dangerous Antifa extremists are supported by two members of The Squad. Both Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley used Twitter to call on their supporters to donate to a bail fund for the detained “activists.” The crowdfunding campaign closed after it had surpassed its goal of $15,000: $24,652 was raised, a large part of which came from The Squad’s most passionate supporters.

First Rep. Pressley asked her supporters to “join me right now in making a contribution.” She thanked “the allies & accomplices who stood in the gap & laid their bodies on the line today in affront #LGBT hate march. To everyone feeling unseen & vulnerable today… we got you. Equitable outrage. Our destinies & freedoms are tied.”
She was then backed up by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, who called “the Bail Fund for the activists who put themselves on the line protecting the Boston community” (against those hateful, yet completely peaceful parade-goers!) “one way to support the local LGBTQ community impacted by Boston’s white supremacist parade.” That’s right, she added the Q to it. I can’t help but wonder why Pressley is so bigoted against those who consider themselves “questioning” that she didn’t include them in her list of protected groups? Does she hate those who aren’t sure about their sexuality and/or gender?
Questions, questions, questions.
In any case, the most important question is of course: why isn’t The Squad’s support for Antifa — frankly a radical-leftist terrorist organization — deemed outrageous by the mainstream media? Can you imagine how the Washington Post and the New York Times would’ve responded if President Trump had called on his supporters to donate to a bail fund for neo-Nazis? And no, that’s not an unfair comparison. What neo-Nazis are to the right, Antifa is to the left. They’re just as despicable, just as violent, just as radical, just as dangerous.
