WATCH: Trump Unloads on Democrats' Attempts to Oust Him in Post-Acquittal Speech

On Wednesday afternoon, President Donald Trump gave public remarks about his Senate impeachment acquittal.

The crowd cheered enthusiastically upon his entrance, and the president thanked them for their cheers.

“We’ve all been through a lot together,” he said. “It’s been an unfair situation.”

Trump recalled how the Democrats have been out to get him from the beginning, saying “the witch hunt began” the day he came down the escalator, “and it never really stopped.”

“It was evil. It was corrupt. It was dirty cops. It was leakers and liars. And this should never, ever happen to another President ever,” the president said. ” I don’t know that other Presidents would have been able to take it. Some people said, no, they wouldn’t have. But I can tell you, at a minimum, you have to focus on this because it can get away very quickly. No matter who you have with you, it can get away very quickly. It was a disgrace.”

Trump specifically called out James Comey, saying that had he not fired him, he might not be standing there now.

“Had I not fired James Comey — who was a disaster, by the way — it’s possible I wouldn’t even be standing here right now. We caught him in the act. Dirty cops. Bad people. If this happened to President Obama, a lot of people would have been in jail for a long time already. Many, many years.”

“We went through hell, unfairly. We did nothing wrong,” he said, before holding up a copy of the Washington Post featuring the headline “Trump Acquitted.”

“This is what the end result is,” Trump said of impeachment, before joking that he might frame it because it’s the only positive headline the Washington Post has ever given him.

“We first went through Russia, Russia, Russia,” Trump said of the Democrats’ witch hunt. “It was all bulls**t.”

No one was immune from Trump’s crosshairs. He blasted the “corrupt politician” Adam Schiff for making up his own fictional version of his phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. “They made up facts. A corrupt politician named Adam Schiff made up my statement to the Ukrainian president. He brought it out of thin air. Just made it up. They say he’s a screenwriter — a failed screenwriter. He tried to go into — unfortunately, he went into politics after that. They made up facts. A corrupt politician named Adam Schiff made up my statement to the Ukrainian president. “These people are vicious. Adam Schiff is a vicious, horrible person,” Trump said, before adding, “Nancy Pelosi is a horrible person. And she wanted to impeach a long time ago.”

“I doubt she prays at all,” Trump said, a reference to remarks Pelosi made earlier in the day after the National Prayer Breakfast, where she claimed she prays for President Trump.

After thanking various people in the room, Trump started to wind down by acknowledging that “This is a day of celebration because we went through hell,” but warned, “I’m sure they’ll try to cook up other things … Because, instead of trying to heal our country and fix our country all they want to do, in my opinion … they want to destroy our country. We can’t let it happen.”

He also had a message for his family. “I want to apologize to my family for having them have to go through a phony, rotten deal by some very evil and sick people.”
