The declassification meltdown continues

Obama administration officials along with their media wet nurses and a motley crew of partisans are worked up. They are troubled over President Trump’s directive to his wingman, AG William Barr, to declassify the documents surrounding the investigations into Trump’s involvement in the RUSSIA collusion investigation. The spin coming from these malefactors and conspirators focuses on the “danger” of releasing classified information.

Does this sound familiar? It should. We heard the same claptrap when the Nunes-run House Intel Committee wanted to release their report on the RUSSIA collusion scandal. Once the report was released, we all saw there was no national security risk and the concern was not about classified information — it was just a trick to keep the report from seeing the light of day because the report was favorable to Trump.

Chuck Ross at The Daily Caller points out the unmasking and revealing of sources have come from the same crew shrieking about the danger of releasing classified information and endangering sources.

Despite that, a Belarus-born businessman was identified in the press as the source for some of the dossier’s most salacious allegations about President Donald Trump and the campaign.

A review of press reports and government documents shows Christopher Steele and Glenn Simpson identified the alleged source, Sergei Millian, to journalists and government officials.

On Jan. 24, 2017, ABC News and The Wall Street Journal identified Millian, an American citizen born in Belarus, as an unwitting source for Steele. Described interchangeably as Source D, Source E and an “ethnic Russian associate of Trump,” Millian was the source who claimed that the Kremlin was blackmailing Trump with a salacious sex tape and that the Trump campaign had conspired with Russia to influence the election.

The Financial Times and the Daily Beast also wrote stories. Did any of these characters show such concern when Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn was illegally unmasked?

Expect these righteous cries about endangering sources to continue and increase as Barr continues his investigation.

Private group is building the wall

We Build the Wall, a private group that solicited donations from the public, announced that it has started building the wall on private property in New Mexico. “Buckle up, we’re just getting started!” the group wrote in a Facebook post, sharing what it said were images of construction over the weekend.

On Monday evening, a CNN team watched as heavy machinery rumbled over the site near the New Mexico-Texas state line near El Paso. Kris Kobach, former Kansas secretary of state and longtime immigration hardliner, spoke to CNN over the clanking and beeping of construction equipment.

“It’s amazing to me how crowdfunding can successfully raise a lot of money, and how many Americans care about this,” said Kobach, who’s now general counsel for We Build the Wall.

A half-mile stretch of wall on the site is nearly finished, Kobach said, costing an estimated $6 million to $8 million to build. The main contractor working at the site: Fisher Industries, a North Dakota-based company that President Trump has been aggressively advocating should be awarded government contracts to build the border wall, The Washington Post reported last week.

Jeff Allen, who owns the property where the wall is being built is ecstatic. “They are doing an incredible job,” he said. “I have fought illegals on this property for six years. I love my country and this is a step in protecting my country.”

The group has raked in more than $20 million on GoFundMe.

Trump goes after Biden for 1994 crime bill

President Trump called out former veep and presidential hopeful Joe Biden for his support of the ’94 crime bill, which saw a huge increase in the amount of “superpredators” being incarcerated.

….Super Predator was the term associated with the 1994 Crime Bill that Sleepy Joe Biden was so heavily involved in passing. That was a dark period in American History, but has Sleepy Joe apologized? No!

Biden advocated for the bill that offered financial incentives to imposed stricter sentences and created the “three strikes” rule that mandated life incarceration for criminals already convicted of two violent crimes. Two Democrat presidential wannabes, Kamala Harris and Bill de Blasio, have also criticized Biden for his role in the bill.

The president contrasted Biden’s involvement with the ’94 crime bill and promoted his own efforts in the criminal justice reform movement.

Anyone associated with the 1994 Crime Bill will not have a chance of being elected. In particular, African Americans will not be able to vote for you. I, on the other hand, was responsible for Criminal Justice Reform, which had tremendous support, & helped fix the bad 1994 Bill!
