The Morning Briefing: Omar Anti-Semitism Resolution Put on Hold and Much, Much More

The anti-Semitic gift that keeps on giving

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) cannot shut her Jew-hating yapper, so now the Democrats are forced to make some gestures to smooth over relations with an important and generous constituency: the Jewish community. After weighing the cost/benefit analysis of their intersectional bingo political strategy, a resolution to condemn anti-Semitism has been postponed.

The resolution will be updated to include anti-Muslim bias and other forms of bigotry, likely pushing a vote to Thursday, a day later than they had originally hoped, according to two Democratic aides. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told Democratic leaders about the change of plans Tuesday evening, one of the aides said.

And notably, the resolution does not name the anti-Semite in question, Omar.

Without mentioning Omar by name, the four-page resolution says her comment “suggests that Jews cannot be patriotic Americans and trusted neighbors.” She did not answer questions about her comments while leaving her Capitol Hill office Tuesday.

Now, if Omar were really concerned about the support and excessive foreign aid the U.S. doles out around the planet, why doesn’t she ever mention other countries like Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, or Afghanistan? She only mentions Israel and Jews. Why is that, I wonder?

FOF (friend of Farrakhan) and vocal Jew-hater Linda Sarsour attacked “white feminist” Speaker Pelosi over this Omar issue and resolution.

Nancy is a typical white feminist upholding the patriarchy doing the dirty work of powerful white men. God forbid the men are upset—no worries, Nancy to the rescue to stroke their egos,” she wrote.

“Democrats are playing in to the hands of the right. Dividing our base and reinforcing their narrative and giving them an easier path towards 2020,” Sarsour wrote.

“I reject this. I will speak out. I won’t be silent. I am not following this. They don’t speak for me as a Democrat. No more double standards.”

The “right” doesn’t have to do anything. These nutters, who have taken public control of the Democrats, are doing it all on their own. Cow farts, no airplanes or cars, free college…keep ’em coming, bozos.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to testify today

Nielsen will appear before a viscous mob on the House Homeland Security Committee today to testify about all the atrocities committed on behalf of the barbaric and racist Trump administration. I’m just preparing you for what you are going to hear should you chose to watch. I will be watching.

The main line of questioning from the committee’s Democratic majority will center on Mr. Trump’s controversial national emergency declaration, his proposed border wall, the discontinued family-separation policy and migrant children who have died in U.S. custody, two congressional aides told CBS News.

Although some members of the committee will likely delve into other immigration-related issues, the aides said the hearing will largely focus on border security and Nielsen’s oversight of the administration’s stringent enforcement strategy.

The good news is there is !NOTACRISIS! at the border. Reports the NY Post:

A stunning 76,103 asylum seekers were nabbed at the southern border in February, more than double the 36,751 held the same month a year earlier and a number on pace to reach levels not seen in more than a decade, immigration authorities said Tuesday.

“The system is well beyond capacity, and remains at the breaking point,” Kevin McAleenan, of Customs and Border Protection, told reporters.

“Taken together these numbers are remarkable. That’s the highest number of encounters in any February in the last 12 years. We have encountered more families in five months and five days than last year’s record total.”

And these elected clowns do not want to fund a wall to protect our border? Again, the border wall was never a problem until Trump wanted it.

Meanwhile, we just saw a massive fentanyl bust in New York. “So that truck that we seized in New Jersey over the weekend, there were 20 kilos of fentanyl seized,” responded Donovan. “That is tremendous. That’s $150 million worth of fentanyl that we prevented from hitting the streets of New York City.”

Where did the drugs come from?

Donovan described investigations “connected in California and in Mexico,” and two ways the drugs are entering the country: “Through the port of entries and through the land. That particular organization would transport it across the United States in tractor trailers or through trains.”

Will Congress listen up to the men and women working at our southern border? I’m not optimistic.

Farewell, Scott Gottlieb

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb is resigning and goodbye to bad rubbish. He’ll be leaving next month. Gottlieb is most notable for trying to crush the vaping industry and claiming there is an underage vaping epidemic. These nanny-staters love to gin up a crisis so they can start yanking away your freedoms and choices.

There are a bunch of puff pieces on Gottlieb floating around out there. Politico’s is particularly nauseating. Let’s hope the next head of the FDA is an improvement.
