TRUMP’S TRAGEDY: FLORENCE IS COMING

The media is priming you to blame President Trump for whatever happens following Hurricane Florence’s landfall. This is a very dangerous storm and by all means, get the hell out if authorities are telling you to leave. Some want this to be a political event. It’s not. The media should be focused on transmitting information to its audience, not preparing a post-tragedy narrative.

With more than 48 hours before Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall Democrats are already listing the causes of President Trump’s “poor response” to the aftermath.

Democratic Illinois Rep Luis Gutierrez, appearing on “All In” with Chris Hayes on MSNBC Tuesday night, attacked President Trump for not being “prepared” for Hurricane Florence.

Gutierrez said, “You know what I fear, is the calamity, because of the lack of coordination of the government, with the National Guard, and with local government. The lack of responsiveness and preparedness of this government, because the president wants to find out who was the one that wrote that op-ed piece about the chaos in the White House.”

Gutierrez added, “He’s (Trump) so consumed by the calamity in the chaos that exists, he’s not really prepared and focused, because he spends every weekend golfing, instead of preparing.”

Amazing.

Guy who hates Trump releases nasty anti-Trump book

Lots of excitement about Bob Woodward’s anti-Trump Tiger Beat book, but really, I can’t muster up any interest. We already know from Fire and Fury that people love to smack talk Trump and portray themselves as “really important” and “in the know” with the administration. Eh, we’ve heard all these stories before: Trump’s crazy, Trump eats two scoops of ice cream, Trump watches the gorilla channel.

Some of the people mentioned in the book are disputing the stories: “I would have been happy to correct them if Mr. Woodward or any member of his staff would have called me, as a person they were quoting, for standard fact-checking,” Chris Christie said.

This is all part of the 2018 midterm election campaign and the strategy to saturate the media with stories of how unstable and crazy Trump is.
