From The Jetsons to Back to the Future, our pop culture has been promising us hovercrafts for a long time. We were supposed to have them by now.

Well, one father wanted to make sure his generation kept their promise to his son, and he made him a hovercraft. That’s right, he made him a frickin’ hovercraft! Watching the joy on the kid’s face makes the venture seem worthwhile. Now if only we could perfect jetpacks and teleportation…
