Marco Rubio Passionately Defends the Need for Debate

After Sen. Warren (D-MA) was found in violation of Senate rules, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) passionately defended the need for real debate and suggested why Warren was out of line. He said, “Watch these parliaments around the world, where people throw chairs at each other…. How does that make you feel about those countries?” He continued, “This body cannot carry out its work if it is not able to conduct debates in a way that is respectful to one another.” And Rubio suggested that if the Senate is not capable of respectful debates, then nowhere in the country will they take place, and we we will all fall into a hate-filled crisis. This is the kind of speech that makes you wish he had been the GOP nominee…
